How to Look at Pictures on Skype
Taking pictures of a Skype contact during a video chat session is a straightforward process. You just click "Snapshot" while the call is in progress and Skype takes, saves and displays a snapshot of your contact. Viewing this snapshot later, after you have closed the gallery that appears when you take the snapshot, is somewhat more complicated. Skype does not save the pictures to an obvious location like your "Pictures" folder, so searching your computer for them can be a frustrating experience. Instead, simply view the pictures in Skype.

Tips & Warnings
If you wish to find and view your pictures using Windows Explorer, Skype recommends checking C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Skype\Pictures for Windows Vista or Windows 7 and C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Skype\Pictures for Windows XP. In both of these instances, <user name> is your computer user name rather than your Skype user name.
