Do it Yourself Word Search Games

Word searches are fun and easy to make.

Word searches are games in which letters are scrambled across a page in a grid-like pattern, and the objective is to find certain words. Word searches can be a good accessory to classroom lessons, and teachers can use them to help their students work on their spelling knowledge. It's a game suited to people of all ages, with adults gravitating to scrambles involving more difficult words and trickier visual set-ups. You can buy word searches, but it is just as easy to make them yourself. That way, you can help a child practice particular vocabulary or spelling words, or amuse an older player with highly challenging words.
