Things You'll Need

  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1 large tomato
  • 1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp. coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. mayo
  • Medium-size mixing bowl
  • Serving spoon
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Measuring spoons

Instructions

    • 1

      Gather your ingredients and utensils so they are in one place where you can work with them.

      Peel and chop the cucumber into medium-size chunks. Cut tomato into small chunks. Measure parsley flakes and pepper.

      Combine all the ingredients in your mixing bowl. Stir gently to combine.

      Put bowl in refrigerator and chill for at least one hour.

      Remove from refrigerator, stir gently and serve.

Tips & Warnings

  • Refrigerate the salad for at least an hour. This gives the mayo and the juice from the tomato time to mix together to form a creamy sauce.

  • You can substitute your favorite dressing for the mayo.

  • You can add a bit of onion or garlic to the salad if you like.
