How to Get Postcards Printed
Postcards can be used to promote marketing and to announce a personal life event such as a birth, move or reunion. Postcards can also be used to acknowledge birthdays or to celebrate holidays. Some people use postcards as a way to say hello to a friend or relative. Whatever the need may be, postcards can be customized and personalized to fit that need.

1
Design the postcard for printing. Sizes must be between 3.5" x 5" and 4.25" x 6", with a minimum thickness of .007" (in compliance with U.S. Postal Service guidelines). Design the front and back of the postcard, remembering that one side must include the address. Photo editing programs can assist in designing the format of the postcard. (Check with the printing company to see what program is preferred.) Some printing companies can even design a postcard for you.

2
Find a printing company to print your postcards. Local printers and copy shops are a good resource if you want to be involved in the production, and you will be able to approve of the final product before printing. Another option for printing is to use an online printing service. This option would be better for producing large quantities, while keeping prices low.

3
Submit your design to the printing company (digitally, if an online company is used). Inform the printing company of any preferences you have, such as color or black-and-white images, the size desired, whether a protective coating is desired and whether the postage should be printed with the postcard.
