How to Save an AIM Buddy List from AIM Express

AIM, the latest version of what used to be called AOL Instant Messenger, allows people to instantly communicate with each other through their computers without the need for email. While AIM is normally installed on a computer's hard drive, AIM Express is designed to perform the same functions online as regular AIM without the need for program installation. Saving an AIM "Buddy List" from AIM Express is designed to be as simple as possible.

Instructions

1. Click on the menu in the upper-left corner of the AIM window and choose "Add Contact."

2. Select "AIM" as the type of contact you wish to add. You can also add contacts directly from Google and Facebook if you desire.

3. Enter the name or username of the user you wish to add and click on "search."

4. Click on the search result that matches the contact you wish to add. The contact will now be saved as a part of your buddy list.

5. Log out of the program. The list with the new contact will be saved on the AOL database and you can log in later from a different computer and still find your buddy list saved and ready to access.
