How to Call on a Cell & Hide Your Number on AT&T

A caller's phone number displays on the recipient's phone while the device is ringing. Often callers don't want to give out their phone number, particularly if they are professionals making a quick business call on their private cell. Callers with AT&T service have two options to block caller ID information when placing a call: blocking all calls and blocking one call at a time.

Instructions

1. Decide what type of caller ID block is right for you. Determine whether you want to hide your ID all the time or if you need it to display for certain recipients who won't pick up unless they know it's you.

2. Dial either 611 or [phone] from your wireless phone to purchase the call block features. This service may not be available in all areas. Fees may apply for this service.

3. Choose to block all calls or one call at a time.
