How to Cook Herb Sage Tea
Tea is a very popular hot beverage alongside coffee. Sage tea is a type of tea made from the leaves of the garden sage herb (Salvia Officinalis). Like other teas, it is commonly taken as a therapeutic and helps one to de-stress. It also has a sharp herbal taste and is rich in antioxidants. Things You'll Need
- Saucepan
- Fresh sage leaves
- Lemon juice (optional)
- Sugar (optional)
- Honey (optional)

Hot Sage Tea

Pour 1 cup of clean drinking water into a kettle or saucepan and bring to a boil.

Remove the boiling water from the heat source and pour into a mug. Place one sage tea bag, or 1 tbsp. of fresh or dried sage leaves into the mug and stir. Let the sage steep for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Drink your sage tea as is, or flavor it with 1 tsp. of fresh lemon juice and 1 tsp. of honey.
Cold Sage Tea

Pour 3 to 4 cups of clean drinking water in a large saucepan and bring to a boil.

Remove the saucepan from the heat source and pour 3 to 4 sage tea bags, or 3 to 4 tbsp. of dried or fresh sage leaves. Stir the tea, set aside and let cool for about 30 minutes.

Transfer the sage tea into a clean pitcher. Add one fresh lemon and 5 tbsp. of honey (add more if you want a sweeter tea) to sweeten. Add one cup of ice cubes to the pitcher, stir and serve.
