Acai berries are a small, round fruit that ripens from green into a dark, purple color. The berries grow on acai palms which are native to South America. Acai berries are one of the most nutritious fruits available. They are rich in vitamin B, potassium, fiber and protein, plus a powerful antioxidant. Acai berries are best used in fruit juice, which can be easily made at home with few additional ingredients. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 100 g of acai berries
  • 1 cup of cranberry juice or water
  • 50 ml of guarana syrup
  • Blender
  • Ice cubes
  • Glass

Instructions

      Wash the acai berries to remove any debris on the surface of the fruit.

      Place all the berries in the blender, and switch it on. Make a pulp with the fruit; keep the blender on for a minute until the berries have been mashed up.

      Add the cup of cranberry juice, or water, and guarana sugar to the blender that contains the acai berry pulp.

      Switch the blender on again, and mix the ingredients together thoroughly.

      Put some ice cubes in a glass, and pour the blended juice over them. Serve the juice immediately.

Tips & Warnings

  • Experiment with flavors of the acai juice by substituting the water for carrot juice, apple juice or your favorite juice.
