How to Use Paint in Computers
Paint is a free program that was designed by Microsoft. This program is part of the Windows operating system and is installed on any computer with Windows. By using Paint, you can edit the images on your computer. Paint gives you editing options for images such as text editing, color modifications and object drawing. You will be able to create an ideal picture that fits your preferences with Paint.

Go to the "Start" menu. Click "All Programs" and access the "Accessories" folder. Inside the "Accessories" folder, click "Paint." This will open the Microsoft Paint program.

Go to the top of the window, click "File," and click "Open." Select a picture on your computer and click "Open." You can edit any image on your computer with Paint.

Use the Pencil tool. Click the "Home" tab and click the "Pencil" icon. You will be able to draw on your picture.

Edit your picture with the Brush tool. Click the "Home" tab. Under brushes, select a brush of your preference. Each brush works differently. For example, air brush sprays the color as you drag it throughout the picture.

Draw lines on your picture. Access the "Home" tab and click "Line" in the Shapes group. You will be able to draw straight lines on your picture. If you want to create curved lines, click "Curve" in the Shapes group.

Draw different shapes on your picture. Paint allows you to include a variety of such shapes into your picture such as squares, circles, triangles and ellipses. Click the "Home" tab and select a shape in the Shapes group. Click the "Polygon" icon if you want to create your own custom shape.

Include text in your pictures. Access the "Home" tab and click the "Text" icon. Click anywhere on the picture to start writing. After you click the picture, Paint will display additional text tools. You will then be able to change the font type, size and color.

Change the color settings. Click the "Home" tab. In the Colors group, select a color of your preference. Paint will use this color for other tools you use such as "Pencil," "Brush" and "Lines."
