How to Enable Nero to Auto Start

Nero 10 is a CD or DVD burning software that lets you copy backups of your favorite software to a removable disc. You can add the software using the Windows "Startup" directory. Each version of Windows has a "Startup" directory in the main menu. Any shortcut you place in this directory starts the software each time you boot Windows. The shortcut causes the software to run after you log in. You can use the startup folder for Windows XP, 7 and Vista.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the Windows "Start" button and select "All Programs." Click "Nero," then right-click the "Burn a CD" icon. Select "Copy" from the popup menu. This copies the software's shortcut to the Windows clipboard. If you have Windows XP, click "Start," "Programs" and right-click "Burn a CD or data DVD," then select "Copy."

Click the Windows "Start" button again. Click "All Programs," or "Programs in XP, then right-click the "Startup" program group. Select "Paste" to paste the shortcut to your startup directory.
