How to Make Your Own Card Sets

Play card games with a custom-made deck of cards.

There are many ways to create your own set of custom cards. One way is to search for an online website that allows you to order a set of cards, where you get to choose every detail that goes on it. Another way, simply involves non-acetone nail polish remover, a deck of regular playing cards and some creativity. This way is inexpensive and can be done at home.

Things You'll Need

• Non-acetone nail polish remover
• Deck of regular playing cards
• Cotton balls
• Block of wax (or long candle stick)

Instructions

1. Soak a cotton ball in non-acetone nail polish remover. Take one playing card and begin rubbing the design with the cotton ball.

2. Continue rubbing the design until it's removed completely.

3. Set the card to dry and move on to the next card in the deck. Repeat Step 2 with every card in the deck. This should give you a deck of blank cards.

4. Design your new cards. You can draw a design onto each card or you can print out pictures or designs from your computer and glue them onto the blank card.

5. Gently rub the block of wax against your card. This will make your cards waterproof.

Tips & Warnings

• Rub your cards on a glass surface. Other surfaces may soak up the colors coming off of the cards. Acetone can also damage surfaces.
