How to Create File Associations for Firefox
You can create file associations for Mozilla Firefox in two ways. The first way is to set Firefox as the default browser. When you do this, registered webpage extensions, such as .htm or .html, will automatically be associated with Firefox. This also associates website links with Firefox. However, if you want to associate a non-website extension, such as .txt, with Firefox, you need to do so directly through Windows.
