How To Search For an HTML File
Searching for files on your computer is straightforward with the Windows operating system. At one time, you would have searched in Windows Explorer, but Windows 7 has a much handier search function that makes locating a file simple. HTML is the code used to write Web pages, and you can recognize an HTML file by the extension "htm" or "html."

Type "htm" in the search box. Browse the results to find the file you want and click to open the document.

Type the name or partial name of the file in the search box, browse the results to find the file you want and click to open the document.

Tips & Warnings
Try searching for "txt," if you can't find the file you want. An HTML file can easily be saved as a text file by mistake.
