DIY Dip Station
-
1
Prepare dips one to two days prior to the event and keep refrigerated until it's time to set up the station. Warm dips or melted cheese can be set out the day of the event.
-
2
Clean and cut up fruit and vegetables that will accompany the dips. This should be done the day of the event as fruits and vegetables can dry up or get mushy if cut too early. You can also cut up small pieces of bread, pita or tortilla for dipping.

-
3
Set up a table that is going to be used as the dip station. Decorate with a table cloth, fresh flowers, balloons or other items that go with the theme of the event.
-
4
Set out the dips, vegetable trays, fruit trays and bread trays about thirty minutes prior to people arriving. Dips can be placed on bowls of ice to keep them chilled if they will be sitting out for some time. Warm dips or cheeses can be placed in warm crock pots and turned on low early enough that they warm through by the time people arrive.
-
5
Set up a section of the table and include plates, napkins, toothpicks and forks so people can help themselves and take whatever it is they would like to enjoy.
