      Click on the "Start" button represented by the Windows icon on the bottom, left-hand side of your screen.

      Select "Control Panel."

      Choose "Network and Internet" and then "Network and Sharing Center."

      Select "Set up a connection or network," "Connect to the Internet" and then click "Next." The Connect to the Internet wizard will launch and guide you through connecting to the Internet.

      Choose whether you want to set up a new connection or use a connection you already have by selecting "No, create a new connection" or "Yes, I'll choose an existing connection." You can select yes if you already had an Internet connection set up on an old computer.

      Select "Wireless," "Broadband (PPPoE)" or "Dial-up" when the connection wizard prompts you to choose how you want to connect to the Internet.

      Enter the appropriate information necessary for the type of connection you chose. This information may include a username and password, router information, your Internet service provider or a dial-up connection phone number.

      Click "Connect" once the information is entered and the wizard will set up the new connection.
