How to Make a Diaper Name Tag Out of a White Napkin

Paper napkins, like cloth napkins, can be folded into a number of different shapes, including a baby diaper. Fold square paper napkins into little diapers, add a safety pin to each one and use them as festive name tags for the next baby shower you throw. Each name tag only takes a few minutes to make and uses items you already have around the house.

Instructions

    • 1

Fold the square paper napkin in half diagonally. Orient the folded napkin in front of you so the long folded edge is farthest from you and the point opposite of that edge is pointed at you.

    • 2

Fold the bottom point up to meet the folded edge. Fold the left and right points in so they overlap the bottom point as well as each other.

    • 3

Secure the overlapping points together with a safety pin.

    • 4

Write the name of the wearer across the bottom flap of the diaper with a black crayon.

    • 5

Use the safety pin holding the flaps together to secure the diaper through the shirt by sticking it through the back layer of the diaper as well as through the wearer's shirt.

Tips & Warnings

  • Heat the black crayon with a blow dryer for a few seconds to get it to write darker or use a black pencil eyeliner.
