- Eye protection
- Dust mask
- Gloves
- Mixing bowl
- Cornstarch
- Sublime sulfur powder
- Talcum powder
- Plastic spatula
- Broom and dust pan
- Powder shaker

Choose a well-ventilated area to mix the bug powder. The dry ingredients create dust clouds when mixture vigorously, falling on and around your mixing area. Wear eye protection, gloves and a dust mask. Open windows to ventilate the area. The sublime sulfur powder may have an adverse effect on your eyes or may irritate your skin.

Combine 1 cup of sublime sulfur powder, 1 cup of cornstarch and 1 cup of talcum power in a mixing bowl. Mix together slowly, to avoid dust clouds from forming, with a plastic spatula until well blended. With a broom and dust pan, sweep up excess bug powder that may fall to the floor.

Pour the homemade bug powder into a powder shaker. Apply a thin layer to your entire vegetable garden by shaking the bug powder out of the shaker. Reapply on a weekly basis until the bugs are gone from your vegetable garden.
