1
Decorate your yard and driveway with red and black balloons and pirate flags. If you don't want to buy flags from a party store, you can make your own by painting a skull and crossbones onto a black cloth or sheet using white paint.
-
2
Place a large, flat wooden board long-ways in front of your door so that your guests must "walk the plank" when entering or leaving the house.

3
Make your own treasure chest by drawing black horizontal lines and a lock onto a cardboard box. Use the chest to hold presents as your guests arrive, or simply fill the chest with fake coins and shiny toy jewels.
-
4
Cover your table with a black paper tablecloth. Lay gold coins in random positions on the cloth and place a toy ship in the center. Fill a few red and black balloons with helium, and tie them to the ship to create a centerpiece.
-
5
Add pirate pictures, print-outs, posters and props all around the area. Toys like stuffed or plastic crocodiles, parrots, boats, hooks and anchors make excellent props.
