Sears' Craftsman brand sells a router table that can be used with its portable fixed-base routers. The router needs to be attached to the router table and Sears recommends that you do this after you've assembled the table -- for shipping purposes the tables come unassembled.       Position the router table upright with the front edge facing towards you. Make sure the table is stable and fully assembled, and that it's resting on all four legs.

      Remove the sub-base from the router, hold the router upside down and align the three holes in the center of the table with the holes in the router. Make sure that the screw holes aren't directly above the router handles.

      Screw the fasteners through the top of the router table and into the router below. Tighten the screws while holding the router against the table.
