Instructions

1. Write "Dear" followed by the person's name and a comma. "Dear Sally," for example, would be appropriate.

2. Write a basic statement such as "Thank you for remembering my birthday. The card was very kind."

3. Elaborate on the details of the card. "The dog eating cake on the front reminds me of my dog, Rosco."

4. End with a statement showing gratitude. "Thank you again for the thoughtful card. See you soon."
