      Talk to the people you go to church with on a weekly basis to find out if they have any out-of-state relatives who are the same age as your daughter. If they do, ask that person to contact their relative to see if the child would like to become a pen pal. If given the okay, get the other child's contact information and allow your daughter to start a pen pal relationship with her.

      Sign up online for the World Harvest Mission buddy writing services (see Resources). World Harvest Mission can pair your child up with a Christian pen pal located in Africa. Fill out the form at the bottom of the screen and click "Submit." The people at World Harvest Mission will review the information you provide, match up your 9-year-old daughter with a pen pal of similar age and write you back with the appropriate contact information.

      Use the Christian Children's Pen Pal Club (see Resources). Write an email to the address listed on the main Christian Children's Pen Pal Club website detailing the age of your daughter. The webmaster of the program will pair your daughter up with an acceptable Christian pen pal and write you back with contact information.
