Nurit 2085 Troubleshooting
The Nurit 2085 Point of Sale (POS) terminal is used to make cash sales and credit card transactions. Often, the complex system works as designed, but on occasion, problems may occur. Each connector on the terminal must be secure in order for the machine to work reliably. A weak battery will also prevent the processing of transactions. Printing problems will occur if another type of paper other than the recommended type is used. Additionally, incorrectly fed paper will stop a transaction and impede productivity. A few tips will lower your downtime and raise your cash and credit acceptance quota.

1
Check the electrical connections. The AC adapter must be fully inserted into the electrical outlet and the barrel connector securely connected to the terminal. Check the PIN pad and terminal pin pad connections and then verify that the "Telephone connector-to-TEL LINE" terminal socket and telephone line is secure.
-
2
Check the switch on the bottom of the machine and ensure that it is in the "On" or "On/Standby" position.

-
3
Check the battery. With the AC adapter plugged into the electrical wall outlet and terminal turned on, the battery takes between 10 to 12 hours to be fully charged.
-
4
Check the paper type if the printer fails to work. The Nurit 2085 works with thermal paper only.
-
5
Check the paper feeding technique if the paper does not pull through the printing compartment. Paper must be fed underhanded as opposed to overhanded. If your Nurit 2085 does not work properly, contact the retailer where you purchased your machine for additional support.
