How Do I Change an XP Clock To Military Time?

Military time is based on a 24-hour clock, while most civilian clocks use a 12-hour clock. If you are accustomed to the 24-hour clock, adjusting to 12 can be difficult. Your Windows XP operating system includes display options for both formats, allowing you to select the one that is most convenient.

Instructions

    • 1

      Click "Start." Select "Control Panel."

    • 2

Double-click the "Date, Time, Language and Regional Options" icon. Choose Regional and Language Options.

    • 3

Select either of the time formats with a "H" instead of the "h" for both the short and long time menu options. The "H" denotes a 24 hour clock.

Click "Apply" then "OK." Exit the Control Panel.
