How to Make Facebook Your Homepage on Firefox

You can feed your Facebook addiction by making it your homepage on Firefox. The browser allows you to choose what page or pages it should open upon starting. If you can't wait to catch up with your Facebook friends, you can modify your Firefox settings so that Facebook is the first Web page you see. Firefox provides two methods to make Facebook your homepage.

      Open Firefox.

      Visit your Facebook page.

      Click "Tools" in Firefox and select "Options" from the drop-down menu.

      Click the "General" tab. Find the Startup section.

      Click the "Use Current Page" button to make Facebook your homepage in Firefox.

    Drag and Drop

      Open your Facebook page in a Firefox tab.

      Click on the Facebook icon in the Firefox address bar. It looks like the letter F in a blue box.

      Drag and drop the Facebook icon onto the "House" icon.

      Click "Yes" in the box that pops up asking if you want to set Facebook as your homepage.

Tips & Warnings

  • The "General" tab replaced the "Main" tab in older versions of Firefox. If you have version 3.5 or older, click "Main."

  • For easy access to your Facebook News Feed, log in to Facebook and click "Home" before setting it as your homepage.
