      Close the Microsoft Outlook program if it is currently open or running. Outlook cannot be open while you import accounts in Thunderbird.

      Launch the Thunderbird application.

      Go to "Tools" in the top menu bar and select "Import."

      Choose the "Settings" radio button in the pop-up window and then click "Next."

      Highlight "Outlook" from the list of programs and press "Next" again.
