Many Web pages offer directions to certain places, but in the past they were often restricted to static maps and vague directions. Google has made it possible to provide customized driving directions on your page with a free directions gadget. By entering some basic information, you can allow anyone to enter their starting address and obtain a personalized set of directions to your business or party.

Instructions

      Go to the Google Driving Directions gadget page at tinyurl.com/4po2psg.

      Enter a title for your directions gadget in the appropriate field.

      Set the width and height fields, in pixels, if you wish to use something other than the default.

      Select a border from the available options.

      Enter the address of your home, business or event in the "End Address" field. Leave the "Start Address" field blank: visitors to your website will supply this information.

      Select a location country.

      Select a language for the gadget.

      Click the "Get the Code" button. Copy the code that appears to your computer.

      Open the Web page file to which you want to add directions in an HTML or Web page editor.

      Paste the code into the file in the location where you want the gadget to be displayed.
