Stop a slanderous 'fan' from posting on your page.

A Facebook fan page can help you promote a business or cause, but it can also open the gate to spammers and trolls to post advertisements, links and even slander on your page. Fortunately, as an administrator, you can block the users who can post on your wall to banish the trolls. While you can't prevent a new "fan" from making an unpleasant or objectionable post the first time, you can use your settings to ensure that he can't post on your page ever again.

Instructions

    • 1

Sign into your Facebook account. On your homepage, choose "Ads and Pages" on the left side of the page, underneath your profile picture.

    • 2

Click the page on which you'd like to ban a user from posting. When the page loads, locate the post that you'd like to remove.

    • 3

Position your cursor on the right side of the post near the user's name, and a small gear shape will appear. Click the gear and then click "Remove Post and Ban User." This removes the user from your fan page and prevents her from ever posting on your wall again.

    • 4

Click "People Like This" under the number of your total fans. You can then browse your fan list to ensure that the offending user has been banned completely. If she remains on the list, click the "X" beside her name and click the option beside "Ban Permanently" when you are asked if you're sure you'd like to remove the user.
