How to Make Cool Pictures for T-Shirts

You can upgrade your wardrobe by adding pictures to your T-shirt.

Designing customized T-shirts will give you a unique style. You can even add pictures to T-shirts if you want to make a personal gift for a loved one. Your drawing skills, or the type of design you want to create, will determine the method for adding a cool picture to a T-shirt. If you are not a good artist, you can find T-shirt templates to aid in the design.

Instructions

1. Take pictures using a digital camera so you can add them to a photo-editing software. Take pictures of nature, interesting things or people --- whatever would look good on a T-shirt.

2. Upload the picture to a photo-editing software like Photoshop or Microsoft Paint. Use the features within each program to customize your picture. For example, in Microsoft Paint, you can click on the spray-paint icon located at the top of the screen to paint certain images or symbols onto the picture. To create a glowing or transparent image, you can change colors and add filters using Photoshop. The picture can then be printed on iron-on transfers, which can be ironed onto the T-shirt.

3. Download interesting pictures from the Internet that can be added to your shirt. For example, visit Google.com and enter a category or topic that interests you. Click "Images" located on the left of the screen, and various images related to what you entered will appear.

4. Draw pictures and images onto a piece of paper using colored pencils and markers. You can also paste pictures of objects from magazines. Scan the finished product and print it on iron-on paper. The image can be printed directly onto the T-shirt by submitting it online to one of many T-shirt-creation websites. Sites like Cafepress allow you to upload original pictures that can be added to T-shirts.
