How to Locate a US Marine Corps Soldier
Locating a soldier on active duty with the United States Marine Corps requires you to know a little bit of information about the person in question. At the very least, you need to know the name of the person and the base at which they are stationed. Knowing the rank of the person will also be helpful in locating them. Go to the Military Zone.com list of military bases and find the base that the solider you are looking for is stationed at (see Reference 1). Scroll through the list and click the name of their base. For example, if you know the soldier you're looking for is at Camp Pendleton in California, scroll down the list and click "Camp Pendleton, CA" located under the "Marines Bases" heading.

Dial the main phone number for the military base you have selected. This will be listed in the page that is open in your browser. For example, the main phone number for Camp Pendleton is (760) 725-4110 (or 4111).

Give the person you're speaking with the information you have about the soldier that you're looking for. This includes that soldier's name and rank, as well as any other pertinent information you have. Based on this information, the person you speak with should be able to give you the phone number and address to the location the solider is stationed at while on active duty.

Tips & Warnings
Check to see if the specific base you're contacting has an online solider locator on their website. This could potentially save you a phone call. Camp Pendleton, for example, has a personnel locator on its official website.
The United States Marine Headquarters also has a "Marine Corps World Wide Locator" available for use. Call (703) 784-3941, (703) 784-3942 or (703) 784-3943 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. You can also write to request information about a marine's location at "Headquarters US Marine Corps", Personnel Management Support Branch (MMSB-17), 2008 Elliot Road, Quantico, Virgina, 22134. You may be asked to provide the Social Security number of the Marine you are looking for.
