Instructions

    • 1

Fold your card paper in half and cut the edges with decorative scissors to make a unique edge pattern. If you don't want to have shaped edges, you could also make a small slit all around the border of the paper every half inch and thread ribbon through to decorate the cards.

Paint or draw a special design on the front of your card using the watercolors or colored ink pens. You can also bring the pattern into the inside of the card. If you put a design inside as well, make sure that it is small and limit it to a small section of the card like a corner.

Stamp your name or a symbol that you think reflects you on the bottom back of the card. You can buy custom rubber stamps, or take a potato and cut the symbol or image into it and use that as a stamp. A small heart, an image of an animal you like or a saying that you use frequently are examples of personalized ideas that will ensure everyone knows who made the cards.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you do not want to paint or draw on your card try using pressed flowers and gluing them onto the front.

  • If you are going to stamp words on the back of your card make sure that you are using a professionally made stamp. A potato works best for images.
