How to Delete an Orkut Account

Orkut is named after its creator, Google employee Orkut Büyükkökten.

Orkut is a social network owned by Google on which you can post status updates, share links and photos, and connect with friends. If you are spring cleaning your social networking profiles, or if you simply aren't interested in updating Orkut anymore and don't want to leave a stale profile up for years to come, you can permanently delete your Orkut account.

Instructions

1. Log into orkut.com.

2. Click "Settings" in the top right corner.

3. Click the "General" tab.

4. Click "Delete my Orkut account."

5. Click "OK."

6. Enter your username and password.

7. Check the box next to "Yes, I want to permanently remove orkut from my Google account."

8. Click "Remove Orkut." Your Orkut account is now deleted.
