How to Combine Candles and Makeup Bags for Functions

How to Combine Candles and Makeup Bags for Functions thumbnail
Candles can light up make-up bags, adding a glow to the gift contents.

You can use makeup bags as gift bags to wrap candles and beauty products for wedding or baby shower favors, birthdays or bridal party gifts. Give your attendants or guests a mini-spa in a makeup bag with items such as aromatherapy candles, bath salts, body wash, fragrant lotions, nail polish and manicure and pedicure tools. You can also implement candles within make-up bags to create luminaries that line a walkway or aisle for an event such as a wedding or party.

Instructions

  1. Centerpieces/Favors

    • 1

Unzip the makeup bag. Place tissue paper that matches or highlights the colors on the exterior of the makeup bag inside. Allow tissue paper to fluff out of the bag to add to the appearance.

    • 2

Place the candle in the makeup bag and other gifts such as accessories or bath and body products.

    • 3

Turn on the switch of your LED tea light candle. Place the tea light in the center of the makeup bag, so that it illuminates the tissue paper and bag, creating a colorful glow.

    • 4

Place the makeup bags around a centerpiece on your tables or at the place settings of each guest. Consider using your makeup bags as a centerpiece. Attach helium balloons and ribbons in your color scheme.

    Luminaries

    • 5

Measure the length of the aisle, walkway or entrance that you wish to illuminate, with a measuring tape.

    • 6

Decide how many feet you want to have between each luminary. Divide the total length of your walkway, aisle or entrance way, by the number of feet you want in between each luminary to find the total number of luminaries you need for one side. Multiply this number by two.

    • 7

Unzip each makeup bag. Turn the switch of each LED candle on, before your event begins. Place each flameless LED candle in a see-through makeup bag. Add small glass balls to the bottom, to weigh them down, so they do not fall over or move out of place.

    • 8

Line both sides of your aisle with the makeup bag luminaries, so that the bags are parallel to each other.
