How to Browse With Internet Explorer 6
Internet Explorer 6 is the default browser released by Microsoft in 2001, and is commonly found on systems running Windows XP and its various service packs. Like its predecessor, IE 6 provides easy web browsing using the address bar at the top of the browser window and contains a user-friendly interface for navigating between pages. As of March 2011, Internet Explorer 9 is the latest version of program and is available through the Windows Update utility program.

Click the "Start" button on your computer's desktop, in the lower-left corner, and click "All Programs" and "Internet Explorer" to launch the browser.

Click "Home" at the top of the browser's window to access the home page (default page) of your browser.

Click "Back" to return to the previous web page and press "Forward" to move to the last visited page. Click "History" to view a list of your recently accessed sites.

Click "Refresh" to reload the current page of your Internet browser. This feature is useful if some images did not load as expected.

Double-click the URL field to highlight the current Web address. Type in a new address and click "Go" to visit a new page. If the page has been previously accessed, it appears in the drop-down suggestions menu below the address field. Click the address to go to the page, or press "Enter" on your keyboard.
