How to Edit Bright Pictures

Digital cameras make it easy to edit photos.

With digital cameras being popular and inexpensive, many people quickly take dozens of pictures without giving a thought to the principles of good photography. Thanks to editing software, however, many bad pictures can be fixed. With a bright picture, you can make it less bright and adjust the colors. You should take the best picture you can for the best results, but mistakes can be fixed to a degree to improve pictures.

Instructions

1. Upload the picture to your computer. Connect the camera to the computer using a USB cable. Select the photo and copy it to a location on the hard drive. Disconnect the camera.

2. Open the picture in a photo-editing program. Look for the different tools or buttons to make changes. You should find options that allow you to control brightness and different colors. Try lowering the brightness or bringing other colors up.

3. Save the picture as another file when you have made changes that are acceptable. When you click "Save," you might be given options to save as different file types, choose the type you want or stick with the file type you have, which is probably .jpg.
