How to Clean the Heating Element & Fan on the NuWave Oven Pro

Ashton Daigle

Manufactured by Hearthware, the NuWave Oven Pro uses infrared technology to cook. The manufacturer of the NuWave says the invisible radiant infrared heat is superior because it penetrates the inside of foods while also cooking from the outside.

This supposedly leaves foods moist and full of flavor yet browned to perfection. The unit disassembles easily for cleaning.

Warning

Opening the power head (where the fan and heating element are located) to clean the heating element or the fan could possibly void your NuWave Oven Pro Warranty. According to the owner's manual, only the exterior of the power head should be cleaned, which can simply be accomplished by wiping it down with a rag.

  1. Make certain your NuWave Oven Pro is not hot.

  2. Disassemble your Oven Pro and set the pieces aside. The pieces should include the transparent dome, cooking rack, liner pan, dome holder and base. These five pieces are dishwasher safe.

  3. Examine the underside of the power head and remove the screws there with a screwdriver. Pull it apart very carefully.

  4. Spray the inside of the power head, where the fan and heating element are located, with canned air.

  5. Wipe down the fan blades very gently with a clean, dry rag.

  6. Close the power head back and and refasten the screws that hold it together.
