How to Remove the Ask Toolbar in IE
The Ask Toolbar works with Firefox and Internet Explorer, and allows you to search for items on the Ask Jeeves website. It also includes additional features, including a built-in pop-up blocker, page resizing tool and text highlighter. If you no longer want to use the toolbar, you can permanently uninstall it or temporarily disable it within Internet Explorer.

Click "Start" and select "Control Panel." Click "Uninstall a program" under the "Programs" category on the Control Panel window.

Select "Ask Toolbar for Internet Explorer" on the programs list, then click "Uninstall." Click "Yes" on the confirmation prompt to uninstall the toolbar.

Click "OK" when Windows notifies you that the uninstallation is complete.

Launch Internet Explorer.

Right-click an open area on the toolbar, then select "Ask Toolbar" on the list that appears.

Click "Disable" on the confirmation dialog to temporarily remove the Ask Toolbar.

Tips & Warnings
You can enable the Ask Toolbar again by right-clicking the Internet Explorer toolbar and selecting "Ask Toolbar." Click "Enable" to confirm.
