How to Prune Tiger Lilies
Tiger lilies, so named because of their bright orange, black-spotted petals, reach heights of 3 to 5 feet. They grow from bulbs and may be raised in any climate. They do not require much pruning, as their stems and leaves will wither and grow back the next year on their own. You may remove the flowers once they wilt, however, in order to keep your garden looking nice. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Put on your gardening gloves.
-
2
Grasp the wilted tiger lily flower in one hand. Pruning is best done within 48 hours of the flower wilting, as it is easier to remove before the flower petals begin falling off.
-
-
3
Hold the shears at a 45-degree angle just underneath the flower and snip the tiger lily off at its base. There is no need to remove any of the stem.
-
4
Discard the dead flower and continue on the next one. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until all have been removed.
-
5
Toss the wilter flowers into the trash or a compost bin.
