How to Convert From a Docx to a Doc for a Mac
In 2007, Microsoft Word changed from the default .doc file format to .docx. This change can cause problems when sharing files with users who do not have newer versions of Word. You can convert between Microsoft Word's .docx and .doc file formats using software included on your Mac. The TextEdit application allows you to open .docx files and save them as .doc files.
