How to Find My Roadside Auto Service Account Number

When you're stranded on the side of the road, you are often too frazzled to search for your roadside assistance membership information. You will need your account number to request the roadside assistance. The location of the account number varies, and depends on what type of company you get the roadside assistance from. Roadside auto services are offered by wireless phone companies, insurance companies and credit card companies -- all of which may place your account number in a different place.

Instructions

1. Look for the member account number on the roadside assistance card.

2. If you get roadside assistance service through your car insurance company, find the policy number on your insurance card. The policy number and the roadside assistance account number are the same.

3. If the roadside assistance program is associated with a credit card, submitting your credit card account number is all that is needed to look up the account. You may also find the roadside auto service number on your the front of your credit card.

4. If your account is provided by your wireless phone company, submit your wireless number when you request roadside assistance. The roadside assistance option is associated with the wireless number.

5. Call the roadside auto service company and request your account number by phone. Give the representative your full name, mailing address, account PIN or date of birth when prompted. The representative will then give you the account number. She will also send a copy of the roadside membership card upon request.

6. Go online, and log into your membership account. The account number will be listed.
