How to Retrieve Accidentally Deleted Files

Panic usually sets in around the time you can't find an important file and you realize you accidentally deleted it. Files on your computer aren't automatically eliminated from your system: They are sent to a special folder. Whether you use Windows or a Mac, you can retrieve accidentally deleted files from your trash folder through a straightforward process.

      Minimize all your Windows until you get to the desktop.

      Double click the "Recycle Bin" to open it.

      Locate the file in the Recycle Bin.
