How to Set Up Webinars

A number of online companies offer businesses and professionals a way to set up, market and present their ideas to a live audience much like a seminar, but over the Internet through a webinar. This is similar to a seminar but accessed through a user's Web browser. A successful webinar can be set up and presented with the help of webinar software packages and presentation software such as Microsoft's PowerPoint. These packages also allow producers of the webinar to plan and practice their presentations prior to going live with the presentation.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your Web browser and navigate to a webinar provider, such as GoToWebinar, Arkadin or WebEx.

    • 2

Choose a webinar package. Sign up or use its trial offer if not completely sold yet. Make sure the package supports your system and Web browser software.

    • 3

Download the webinar software package to your computer. Follow the instructions to install the software properly.

    • 4

Create and upload your presentation files for your webinar. Give the webinar a name and description and enter the date and time the event will be taking place.

    • 5

Take the URL that is generated by the webinar software and send it out in your invitation emails as the link to click to register for the webinar. Use this link within your marketing efforts and materials for signing up users for your webinar.

    • 6

Practice your webinar prior to going live, making sure the software works bug free and you have all your slides and information in place.
