How to Update Facebook From a Kindle
The Amazon Kindle is more than just an electronic reader: The device is capable of surfing the Internet and can even post status updates to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. To update your Facebook status via the Kindle, ensure that your wireless connection is activated and follow these steps.

Press the "Menu" button on the Kindle.

Click down on the Kindle's 5-way directional pad until "Settings" is underlined. Press the center of the directional pad to select the Settings option.

Click the forward page turn button over to navigate to the next page of the Settings options.

Click the directional pad down to underline the "Manage" option beside "Social Networks." Press the center of the directional pad to select this option. The "Manage Your Social Networks" screen will appear.

Click the directional pad down to underline the words "Link Account" next to "Facebook." Press the center of the directional pad.

Click the directional pad down to underline "Username or Email."

Type the email address you use to log in to Facebook into the provided field using the Kindle keyboard.

Click down on the directional pad to underline "Password."

Type the password you use to access your Facebook account into the provided field using the Kindle keyboard.

Click the center of the directional pad when "Allow" is highlighted. You will only need to do this one time, as the account will now be linked to your Kindle. The "Manage Your Social Networks" screen will reappear once the linking has taken place.

Press "Home" on the Kindle keyboard.

Click down on the directional pad until "Experimental" is underlined. Click the center of the directional pad to select this option.

Click the center of the directional pad to launch the web browser. "Launch Browser" is underlined by default as it is the first option in this menu.

Click "Menu." Click down on the directional pad to underline "Bookmarks," then press the center of the directional pad to select this option.

Click down on the directional pad until "Facebook" is underlined, then click the middle of the directional pad to select this option.

Click the directional pad over to the Facebook email and password login fields.

Enter your email address and password and click "Log In." While your account is now linked to your Kindle, this action merely allows you to access your account and share notes from the Kindle and does not automatically log you in to Facebook each time you access the site.

Navigate to the status update bar on your Facebook page using the Kindle directional arrows. Type in your update using the Kindle keyboard.

Click the directional pad to the right to highlight "Share." Press the center of the directional pad to select Share. Your Facebook status has now been updated via the Kindle.
