How to Get Apps On My iTouch

Apps are the software programs that let you perform tasks on your iPod Touch. Apps are the main purpose of getting an iPod Touch. By logging into the App store, you can purchase games, financial applications, productivity applications and a myriad of other types of applications. Some applications are free of charge. Other applications charge a small fee. If you want to test out an application, some developers provide a "Lite" version with minimal features.

Instructions

1. Turn on your iPod Touch.

2. Open your "Settings" application to connect to the Wi-Fi.

3. Open the "App Store" application.

4. Search through the app store to locate the application you want to download to your iPod Touch. You can view featured apps, apps by category, the top 25 apps or do a custom search.

5. Open the application screen by clicking on the application. Click the button in the top right corner. It either shows the price of the app or says "Free."

6. Log in to your iTunes account when prompted. If you need an account, go to your iTunes program on your PC and create an account. You need to designate a payment method.

7. Wait until the application downloads. It saves in the next available slot on your iPod grid.
