How to Disable a Floppy on VMware Fusion
VMware Fusion is a virtual machine program that runs Windows in a window on a Mac OS X computer. Like other VMware virtual machine programs, it creates virtual hardware devices which the Windows system uses and runs on as if it were running on a real computer. One of the devices VMware Fusion creates is a virtual floppy drive. If you don't need floppy disk support in Windows, you can disable the floppy drive in VMware Fusion. The floppy disk device won't appear in the virtual Windows system after you disable it.
