How to Turn Off the Pop-Up Blocker on the iPad Safari

The Safari web browser for the iPad, just like its desktop counterpart, is subject to unwanted pop-up ads whenever you are surfing the Internet. Luckily, also like its desktop counterpart, Safari for iPad features a pop-up blocker tool to enhance performance. The tool blocks pop-ups that attempt to activate when you open or close a webpage, not when you tap a link.

Instructions

1. Open the "Settings" menu on your Home screen.

2. Tap the "Safari" tab on the Settings page. The Safari preferences screen loads.

3. Scroll down the page to the "Security" section.

4. Slide the "Block Pop-Ups" switch to the "Off" position.

5. Press the "Home" button to return to your Home screen.
