How to Disable the Favorites Toolbar in Mozilla Firefox
By default, the popular Web browser Mozilla Firefox includes a Bookmarks toolbar just below the address bar at the top of the window. This toolbar works just like Internet Explorer's Favorites bar -- links to sites you like and want to be able to access quickly appear here. You may also have installed a third-party extension for Firefox that's added a different Favorites toolbar with special properties. Either way, you can hide the toolbar using the View menu. You can also delete third-party toolbars permanently by removing the extension that created them.

Point to "Toolbars," then click the name of the toolbar you want to remove -- "Bookmarks Toolbar" if it's the regular Firefox toolbar for saved sites, or some other name if it's a third-party toolbar. The toolbar disappears from the Firefox interface.
