How to Engrave on a Groomsman's Gift

A groomsman typically plays a large role in a wedding. He is responsible for the bachelor party and helping the bride and groom make their day perfect. The groomsman is also expected attend all pre-wedding functions and pay for his tuxedo and travel expenses. Instructions

1. Choose a gift for for the groomsman that he will use. There are a number of thoughtful gift choices, such as a flask, a lighter, a martini shaker, a watch, a pocketknife or cuff links.

2. Decide on a heartfelt message, such as "With love to my lifelong friend," or "Thank you for being my best friend and my best man." Bring the gift and the message to a company that specializes in engraving, such as a jewelry store. Some stores offer free engraving when purchasing a gift.

3. Decide where you want the message to be placed on the groomsman gift. Choose a font and size for the engraved message.

4. Present the gift to the groomsman during the bachelor party. Giving the gift to the groomsman the day before the wedding is also acceptable.
