How to Sync Music to Zune HD
The Zune HD portable media player features a Wi-Fi connection and the ability to download songs directly to the device from the Zune Marketplace, but you can also get songs onto your Zune HD by syncing it with your computer. Syncing music to your Zune HD uses the Zune desktop software, which stores a library made up of songs, videos and pictures on your computer, as well as those you have downloaded from the Zune Marketplace.

Launch the Zune desktop software and click "Settings" near the top of the window.

Click the "Manage" button next to the Music library, click "Add" and add the folders on your computer that contain your music files. Click "OK" once you have added all of your music folders.

Connect your Zune to your computer with the data cable. The Zune software will automatically sync your music to your device.

Tips & Warnings
To change which items are copied to your Zune when you connect it to your computer, open the Zune software settings, click "Device" near the top of the window, and click the "Items I choose" radio button below each type of media.
