How to Send a Hug Via Text

Put a smile on your loved one's face by sending a text hug.

Text messaging is a fast and easy method of communication when you aren't able to talk on your mobile phone. If you have a friend or family member who is feeling down, show your support and encouragement by sending hugs via a text message.

Instructions

1. Press your mobile phone's "Menu" key and tap the "Text Messaging" or "Messages" icon. Select a contact from your "Contacts" list or enter the 10-digit cell phone number of the person that you would like to receive the text hug.

2. Compose a message. Enter two or three parentheses on both sides of the word "Hugs." When you are finished, your text message should resemble the following: (((hugs))). Also use "XOXO," the symbol for hugs and kisses. The "X" stands for kisses and the "O" stands for hugs.

3. Tap "Send" to send the hug to the message's recipient.
