How Can I Get My Jitterbug Phone Activated?

Jitterbug is a cellular service provider that operates using Verizon's wireless network. Jitterbug markets its service to elderly Americans by offering easy-to-use and setup cellular phones. Additionally, Jitterbug features a 24-hour customer-service phone number that always connects to a live customer-service representative. If you have a Jitterbug branded cellular phone that you would like to activate, you need to call Jitterbug customer service.

Instructions

1. Locate your Jitterbug phone's electronic serial number (ESN). You can find the ESN printed on the sticker located below the phone's battery. Additionally, the ESN is printed on a sticker attached to the back of the box your Jitterbug phone came in. You will need your ESN number to call Jitterbug customer service.

2. Call Jitterbug customer service at 800-733-6632. Tell the customer-service representative that you would like to activate a Jitterbug phone and provide the ESN number from your phone.

3. Select a service plan for your Jitterbug phone. You can find a list of available Jitterbug service plans in the Resources section of this article.

4. Provide the customer-service representative with your personal information to establish an account. You will need to give the customer-service representative your name, address, Social Security number, phone number and email address.

5. Wait while the customer-service representative activates your Jitterbug phone. The customer-service representative will do the activation while you are on the phone. After completing the activation, the customer-service representative will inform you that you can now use your Jitterbug phone to make and receive calls. You will also be provided with your new Jitterbug cellular phone number.
